Does this use the official Scrabble dictionary?
No. Official Scrabble lists (NWL in the US, CSW elsewhere) are licensed by their publishers. Letterora searches open general dictionaries plus the public-domain ENABLE word list, and the dictionary selector tells you exactly which one you are searching.
How are the points calculated?
Each word shows a generic word-game letter value (A=1, B=3, …, Q=10, Z=10) as points. That is the familiar letter-value system, not an official game score — board bonuses are yours to add.
Can I search for words that fit existing board tiles?
Yes: use Starts with for a letter already on the board, Ends with for the last letter, and Contains for a run of letters that must appear in order (E_O matches words like ECHO and EVOKE).
